I'm a straight ally and I'm proud!

So with all the recent events in the LGBT community I just thought I'd write a little bit on my thoughts etc. First, I'd like to say that my heart goes out to the families of the suicide victims and feel that it's absolutely horrible that these people were bullied so much that they felt like the only way to get any peace in their life was to end it.

So I'm a straight ally. If you don't know what that is, it's a straight person that supports the rights of the LGBT community. I grew up in a rather conservative but somewhat accepting family. I say somewhat accepting because my family always told me to be nice to everyone yada yada. However, a lot of my family voice to each other that they don't support the LGBT community but of course wouldn't say anything to their face about it. I don't know how I turned out like I have, but I'm glad that I did. Maybe it's because I have gay and bisexual friends? I'm not sure however, I fully support the equal rights of the LGBT community.

I really only have two main things to say: Regardless of someone's sexual orientation, they should still be treated the same and given the same rights as everyone else. They are people, plain and simple. There are so many people out there opposing gay marriage. Why? It's based on some notion that they believe that God hates homosexuals and is going to send them all to hell. First off, I believe in God and I'm a Christian. Having said that, I believe God made everyone the way they are and that being homosexual etc. isn't something that someone chooses. It's inborn. Therefore, I pose this question. If God made everyone the way they are, and he hates homosexuals then why would he make them that way? Why would he make us all so different if he wanted us all to be the same? The answer: God loves us all, homosexuals etc. included! Deal with it! Going along with people's religious objections; who gave them the right to judge others? Thou shalt not judge, it's in the bible peeps, look it up! Therefore, even if I did go along with this notion that all homosexuals are going to hell, WHICH I DON'T, it's still not for you to judge! So what if gay marriage is legal? It's not affecting you! Therefore, leave it alone, let gay marriage happen! If God were going to punish these people in the end, which again I don't agree with, then that's between them and God. It's none of your business. Honestly, this world would be so much more peaceful if people would stay out of everyone else's business. Anyway, that's all I have to say for the moment. Again, I'm a straight ally and I'm proud of it!

What I'm using right now...

So I this looked kinda fun so I stole it from Lollipop26...

The basic premise is this - you tell us what you are using right now for every element of your routine: from face to body to hair.

Shampoo: Bed Head moisturizing shampoo

Conditioner: Bed Head moisturizing

Styling products: Pantene heat protector, Aussie awesome volume hairspray, garnier shine spray

Shower gel: Dial milk and almond

Deodorant: lady's speedstick...I can't remember the scent...maybe shower fresh

Moisturizer: Suave advanced therapy, and some stuff from Bath and body works in random scents

Cleanser: Ponds cream face wash, equate makeup remover wipes (basically the generic version of clean and clear)

Eye makeup remover: equate eye makeup remover

Exfoliator: St. Ives Apricot scrub (simply the best!)

Foundation: Either Covergirl Trueblend whipped foundation (I don't recommend it, but I'm trying to use it up) or Maybelline mineral foundation

Concealer: Wet N' Wild...

Powder: Usually if I use liquid foundation I use my mineral foundation to set it which I like because it gives me some extra coverage.

Blush: Rimmel Pink Rose

Highlighter: I typically use any white eyeshadow with a little shimmer to it

Eyeshadow base: Typically a nyx jumbo eye pencil

Eyeshadow: I have so many different brands, mostly drugstore. Mostly Loreal hip

Eyeliner: Either a pencil from Avon or for liquid the loreal lineur intense in carbon blackMascara: Maybelline colossal in glam black

Lipstick: Usually either maybelline in the buff or covergirl pillow pink. I love the maybelline and the covergirl is ok, it's just kindof weird on the lips like there is more in some places than others, so I usually put gloss over it too...

Lipgloss: Prestige wonderfull plumping gloss in chic or C.O Bigelow tinted lipgloss

Nail Polish: It varies, usually dark colors but typically whatever is cheapest.

What are you using?

I suck at updating

I know I suck at updating! Haven't really been up to much. I did make it to Walgreens and get in on some of their clearance prestige products. I got their eyeshadow in ebony which sort of reminds me of NARS nightbreed...I also bought their eyeshadow in love which is absolutely gorgeous! I'd have pictures on here...but I seem to have misplaced my camera. I also got two lipliners and their plumping lip gloss. Then I finally bought what I actually went there for in the first place which was Loreal lineur intense liquid liner...I LOVE IT! I'm horrible at liquid liner but this stuff is amazing....so yea that's about it....

Review: Loreal Paris Endless lipcolour

So I found a new lipstick that I absolutely love and it is easily my new favorite! It's Loreal paris endless lipcolour and the shade I have is In the Buff. It's a really pretty light nude color ( I'm wearing it in the picture). It goes on great and lasts! I was a bridesmaid in my friend's wedding this weekend and this lipstick lasted all night, I didn't have to worry about it, which was nice. The only negative is the scent. I don't mind it, I actually like it. However, you might not, I don't know but give it a shot!

Studying is vastly over-rated

So I guess I'll start my first blog by saying that I should technically be studying. I have a nursing final in the morning so I should probably be focused on that and not my first blog, but eh. I'm tired of studying...lol. It's kindof weird thinking about what to put in my first blog, I don't think I've opened a new blog in about six years? Yea that sounds about right. So...basically I'm killing time and still trying to get myself to grasp the consept of acid-base and fluid and electrolyte imbalances. Yes I know it sounds totally crazy and boring and well you'd be right. Alright, I'm gonna quit rambling and avoiding the inevitable. I'm going to go make another pot of coffee and get back to what I really should be doing.....
